I offer the following types of therapyChild Individual Therapy (ages 3-12)
One-on-one work with the therapist on issues with which your child may need guidance, such as depression, social difficulties, or worry, using child friendly and appropriate modalities.
Utilizing play, children's natural medium of expression, to help them express their feelings in a safe and comfortable environment.
Counseling sessions with some, or all, family members, helping to improve communication skills, problem-solving techniques or helping balance parents' roles as authority figures and nurturers.
Adolescent Therapy (ages 13-21)
One on one work with the adolescent and the therapist during this transitional and often confusing age when guidance from a professional is often helpful.
Parent Coaching & Consultation
Up to 3 consultation sessions with a therapist to discuss a potential transition or difficulty within the family and how to best handle the situation.
Divorce Counseling Focused on Co-Parenting Issues
Consultation prior to a divorce to discuss how to best inform the children or after a divorce to discuss best co-parenting practices.
Kids or adolescents meet in groups of 6 to 12 to solve problems and learn new skills (such as social skills or anger management).
